Baby Formula Linked to Deaths - RECALL ALERT!

We suspect toxic GMO agrochemical farming is killing our babies. Will you help us to hold mega corporations accountable?

This week, the FDA announced that they advise consumers not to use Abbot Baby Formula brands Similac, Alimentum, and EleCare powdered formulas due to a connection to 5 recorded hospitalizations and two deaths after consuming these formulas. The babies developed Cronobacter sakazakii and Salmonella Newport infections, leading to their hospitalizations and/or deaths.

The FDA has not taken the responsibility of ordering a recall. They continue to allow this product to be sold.

If you are giving your baby formula or know someone who is, we ask you to look at the container immediately.

City Hearing on Firing of Employees Due to Mandates Cut Short

On February 22, 2022, in Asheville, NC, a Civil Services Board Grievance Hearing was held regarding the firing of five city employees, including sanitation, Parks and Rec workers, police, and a firefighter, for not complying with the human resource policy of providing proof of vaccination or submitting to weekly testing. Testing is required at the employee's expense, on their own time. Because the five employees freely admitted that they did not comply with the policy, the City Attorney, John Maddux, argued in the hearing that the case should be dismissed. However, to provide an overabundance of caution, he brought two witnesses to testify about the policy and justification for the firings.

The first witness was Stacie Saunders, the Buncombe County Department of Public Health director. After giving her background, which was not that of a doctor but a public health expert, she quoted pharmaceutical talking points. She extolled the virtues of vaccination as "one of the greatest human achievements." She invoked fear about COVID by stating that "since the beginning of COVID, there have been 4.4 million hospitalizations." Not clarifying, however, if those hospitalizations were from or with COVID.

Canadian Wheat Tests Positive for 3,162 ppb of Carcinogenic Glyphosate Weed Killer

Moms Across America has received test results from a Canadian farmer showing that Canadian whole wheat flour has up to 300 ppb while Canadian wheat bran has up to 3,162 ppb of glyphosate residues. These are unacceptable and dangerous levels. This news comes at a time when the Government of Canada is in the process of reassessing its review processes for determining its approval of glyphosate and the Maximum Residue Levels (MRLs). This review was as ordered by the Federal Court of Appeals after a suit was filed by Safe Food Matters.

Glyphosate herbicides are commonly sprayed as a weed killer before planting and also before harvest, especially in wetter, northern regions, as a drying agent. Canada exports agricultural products to 95 countries and is the third top exporter of wheat, behind Russia and the US, exporting 6.3 billion dollars of wheat a year, or 14.1% of the world’s wheat.

Samples of wheat bran, whole wheat flour, and unbleached all-purpose flour from a Winnipeg supermarket. (first and second section of results) All were produced from Canadian wheat. The second set of samples (third chart)  are from a research project being done at a farm in Manitoba.

Glyphosate and Roundup: All roads lead to cancer

A new study shows that not just glyphosate herbicides (the full formulation), but glyphosate the chemical alone, contributes to cancer. Moms Across America invites everyone to read and share this article with their loved ones and to send an urgent letter now to the EPA to BAN glyphosate! There is no justifiable reason to be spraying a carcinogenic, endocrine-disrupting herbicide that causes liver disease and miscarriages on our food supply!

Clearly, we do not need a Cancer Moonshot, Biden, we need to stop spraying glyphosate and cancer-causing chemicals here on Earth! Now!

New study and article, first published on GMWatch.org:

Glyphosate and Roundup lead to changes in gene regulatory microRNAs (miRNAs or miRs) linked with cancer, newly published data show. The analysis, of a type known as small RNA profiling, was conducted in liver tissue from rats exposed to glyphosate and Roundup MON 52276, an EU-approved formulation, over 90 days.

In the new results, Roundup MON 52276 was found to reduce the levels of miR-22 and miR-17, whereas glyphosate decreased the level of miR-30 and increased the amount of miR-10. These changes in miRNAs are important because they are known to alter the expression of crucial cell growth regulator genes, which can lead to the development of cancer.

The esteemed law firm Baum Hedlund Aristei & Goldman have courageously agreed to represent plaintiffs whose children ate baby food which has been repeatedly shown to contain high levels of heavy metals - and their children developed autism. Heavy metals have been proven to cause neurological damage. We applaud these efforts and send our deepest gratitude to the plaintiffs and the lawyers who are willing to devote their energy and resources to hold these greedy corporations, who KNOW the products that contained heavy metals and did nothing about it.
