What’s behind the global war on independent farmers? It’s becoming clear that, at least in part, it’s a land grab by big corporations. What does this mean for agriculture and your family’s access to healthy food?

In early June, the Dutch government announced its intention to reduce livestock herds by 30% in order to comply with European Union regulations around nitrogen and ammonia pollution. The Country plans to seize 3000 farms and limit the number of cows to only 2 per field in order to meet new climate goals. “These reductions are so severe that those rural communities will be totally devastated economically,” said Sander van Diepen, a spokesperson for LTO Nederland—not to mention the extreme shortage of hamburgers for dinner.

As an example of corporate ties that motivate this Great Reset, the recently appointed Minister for Nature and Nitrogen Policy, Christianne van der Wal-Zeggelink, has familial ties to the major online grocery retailer, Picnic. Her husband, Piet van der Wal, has substantial investments in Picnic. In September 2021, Bill Gates became a significant investor in Picnic, raising concerns about potential government corruption involved in the devastating blow to cattle farms.

According to Dutch Parliament member, Thierry Baudet, this move aligns with what he refers to as "The Great Reset," a concept spreading the globe, suggesting that governments aim to weaken their countries, increase dependence on corporate food imports, and dilute nationalism.

Swedish Journalist, Peter Imanuelsen, reports:

"The government has estimated that in total, some 11,200 farms will have to close in order to meet the new climate goals, and another 17,600 farms will have to significantly reduce their livestock numbers. This is absolutely insane. This is climate tyranny in action."

For all countries participating in climate treaties, “Net Zero” is central to the climate tyranny heist. Net Zero refers to carbon emissions policies to which countries commit and corporations then follow. These policies have contributed to both the recent complete collapse of Sri Lanka and the farmer protests in Holland. Canada is barrelingdown a similar path. President Biden has set an aggressive US goal of achieving a carbon pollution-free power sector by 2035 and net zero emissions economy by no later than 2050. With this we can expect increasing coercion into meatless diets and more regulations that choke out small, independent farms and push toward corporate food agendas in the US.

All the while, one of the major players in the Great Reset, Gates, has become the top individual farmland owner in the US. Despite current high land prices, Gates purchased a 2,100-acre potato farm in North Dakota in June, expanding the holdings of his Red River Trust to over 270,000 acres of farmland. The parallels between Gates' land acquisitions and the actions of investment groups like BlackRock that acquire single-family homes for the purpose of turning them into rental properties, illuminates a broader shift away from private ownership of land and toward centralized control of the food supply.

The World Economic Forum, under the guise of climate change activism, is also bankrupting farmers with ESG scores. ESG stands for environmental, social and governance efforts and serves as a way to assign a quantitative metric to how in-line farmers are with often nebulous goals, like emissions. Then, when the farms fail, WEF stakeholders, BlackRock and Vanguard are buying up their land.¹²

A push away from eating natural meat and toward lab-created meat and insects, seems to be central to this agenda. Bill Gates, and his corporate power houses, are sponsoring lab grown meat and at the same time they are buying up farms across the US. Many experts and independent journalists are warning that this lab food is not nutritious like normal food and is doused in chemicals to make it taste remotely like meat.

Award-winning journalist, Alex Newman, has been sounding the alarm for almost a decade on the Gates agenda to deliberately collapse the food supply, so people will have no choice but to eat insects and lab-grown fake meat. Newman reports that Gates’ goal is that small to medium privately owned farms don’t exist anymore, and people are dependent on corporations for their food—corporations in which Gates is heavily invested.

Meanwhile, the Chinese takeover of US agriculture has reached an all-time high, as Beijing-backed companies now own more of American farmland than even Bill Gates does. Chinese-owned companies now own almost 400,000 acres of US agricultural land worth $2 billion, up from just $162 million a decade ago, according to DailyMail.com: “It has sparked a national debate over whether the US should be allowing a hostile state to buy swathes of land critical to the country's food and energy supply.”

According to GMWatch, “Carbon farming is yet another way that agribusiness corporations are gaining control over land and farmers.” Large corporations that own seed and agrochemical patents, like Bayer, are taking over land and instructing adoption of certain farming practices dictated by the company. Companies do this so they can further profit from selling ‘carbon credits’ on the international market. The global carbon credit market traded value was $978.56 billion in 2022. The market is expected to reach $2.68 trillion by 2028. “In reality, ‘carbon farming’ is a greenwashing exercise that is driven by corporate control of the food and agriculture systems,” reports GMWatch. It’s not necessarily good for the environment or the nutrition of the food.

What You Can Do:

• Don’t support Big Ag. Be aware of what GMO foods currently exist on the market and boycott them entirely: use your dollars to say "NO." Stay up-to-date on all of the new-coming GMO products and know where your food is coming from.
• Seek out and get to know local farmers and grocers you can trust and get your food from them. Ask if they use GMO seeds and how they feel about GMO crops.
• Always check food labels! Organic is still the best way to decrease your family’s exposure to toxic agro chemicals.
• Buy your own non-GMO seeds from trusted sources. Begin a non-GMO garden, and get the whole family involved! Teaching agricultural skills is one of the greatest gifts to bestow on your children and community.
