Here is my proposal for the parade on where to meet and where you should park. Lineup starts at 10:30am at the East end of Main Street (by the Castle Apartments) I have to check us in there and thats where the parade will start lining up. Jeff and I are going to get everything into our van and a trailer, go down to the lineup area, drop it off and then Jeff is going to take the van/trailer and park it in Chase Bank Parking lot.........If everyone could meet us at the parade lineup, that would be wonderful. I plan on being there 10:30ish. I would suggest parking by Chase Bank or the parking lot north of it as the parade is ending at the west end of Main Street. I have attached a pic of the parade map......if you have any questions, please message me for my phone number or give me yours and I will call.......

Email from parade coordinator~Our directions to be in the parade "Dear Parade Participant, To ensure a pleasant experience for all, please read the following information and review the attached map carefully and thoroughly. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding. The parade will start at the intersection of Main and Church Streets and will travel down Main Street, taking the new Square Loop and exiting at Clark Street East. Access points to the parade lineup will include the following: 1. CenterPoint Drive on to Main Street - East end entrance of Main Street 2. Church Street - lineup for emergency vehicles only Lineup will begin at 10:30 a.m. It will be based on order of arrival (first come-first served). You may ONLY enter the parade lineup from CenterPoint Drive on to Main Street at the east end opening of Main Street. Therefore, if you wish to line up with another particular unit or have more than one unit in the parade, plan to arrive together. A check-in representative wearing an safety vest will be stationed on Main Street to check all entries in and provide you a number in order of arrival. If you attempt to enter the parade lineup from any other side streets or parking lots you will be redirected to CenterPoint Drive. Please send one person to check in from your group and be prepared to relay your organization name and/or contact person listed on the parade entry form. Please coordinate drop off of large groups outside of the parade lineup area. Example: if you have a walking group, meet in a parking area downtown and walk to the parade lineup area together. Please do not have vehicles not participating in the parade drive into the lineup area. The parking lot north of Chase Bank on Water Street is available for parade participants to park their personal vehicles during the parade as long as access to the ATM machine is not blocked. Please make sure to leave the Chase Bank area clean. These extra efforts are meant to avoid congestion and confusion at the parade lineup. The parade will begin at 12:00 p.m. There will be a starter to direct traffic at the beginning of the parade route. A couple of reminders: safety of parade spectators and participants is our first priority, please remember to drive slowly and do not throw candy. Horse-drawn units require a leader on foot & clean-up following. We also ask that all participants provide a walker on either side of the unit. Please do your best to keep the parade moving, even if you are separated from the individuals handing out candy for your float. Hi Everyone :) I received an email from the parade coordinator so I will be updating the event with what we need to do in the next couple of days......for now tho, I need a show of hands of everyone that is GOING TO BE PRESENT and walking with us.......also, need to know if you want to meet downtown and get set up, or meet at my house and drive down, or walk......its really not that far, but it might be hot.....and one last thought, does anyone have access to a shopping cart? :D Decorating a shopping cart would be ok, right? Hehe :

And more awesomeness! My neighbors made the donation for us to have some Yummy Earth candy to pass out! Just ordered some Strawberry Pops.......And they also will be joining us in the parade! Yay Jan & Joy!

NEED ice cream buckets! Or something of the like~anyone?? I have 2 donated by my mom.....need more.....flyers, candy, buttons, decals, etc to hand out......also have a wagon to carry all the stuff........will also need one or 2 people to help carry banner.....(see pic posted on how big it is) Has or is anyone making up any signs? Get creative if you want~but keep it PG :D

Woot! Getting stoked for the parade ya'll. Im excited to announce because of the generosity of several sponsors (to include this fab company I am an IC for-NYR Organic), we will be getting the banner! Also, I put in a request for free materials from the cause Swarm the Globe to Save the Bees! to hand out at the parade as well......

Here is where the mission will continue after the parade with efforts from all over the state to educate and inform about GMO's, Monsanto, and other related issues. Hello everyone, does anyone have access to or can you get poster board? Its looking like we are going to have to make our own banner as I am not able to purchase the banner from the Moms Across America store. Would also like to make up other various signs to carry in the parade. Has anyone thought about if they are going to make up signs to carry?

Ya'll, invite friends & family if you wish to this event. Lets try to get the word out to as many folks as possible.

Flyers, buttons, and decals all have been ordered and on their way! Not sure about a banner yet, need to see if I can drum up some cash donations for it......and also sesame candy is being donated by the Stevens Point Area Co-op! Yay!!

We need a meeting place and time that works well for everyone. Suggestions??

Ok, we need to start getting things organized for this event. I am calling around today to get donations from select businesses. We need the parade materials from the Moms Across America org which is going to cost about $70 or so........and we need the organic/GMOFree Candy. I have one donation already of 10#'s of Sesame Candies to hand out to the kids. Please see if you can drum up some funds to help pay for the parade materials we will be ordering from Moms and maybe another candy option :) I can order from YumEarth directly and we need about $55 for their 10# bag of lollipops which I think would be perfect. Woot! This is going to be epic :)
