Port Orchard, WA Fathoms O' Fun 46th Annual Grand Parade

The parade kit came today and I've got a new banner, looks like the old one just doesn't have so many miles on it. This way we can have one at a table and one in a parade and on the 4th of July we can share with groups who don't have the community that we have. Anyone who marches with us gets a free bumper sticker and a Boycott button (from me if they would like one). There aren't enough bumper stickers to pass out in the parade. We will save them for people we know will use them. The boycott buttons are the only thing in the pic that did Not come in the parade kit. I'm just showing them for the Port Orchard group.

Nancy, can you comment here? I’m the only one commenting. I want to know if I need to fix something. Does it work on the website for others to contact us?

If you want to get T-shirts and you want to combine orders, I need to place that order early Friday morning. Monday is the last day to order and get your shirt on Thursday. I’m still getting up the rest of the parades around WA. If anybody has any ideas about where we could meet to have a sign making party, I would love to hear them.

We will need to have a get together to brainstorm what we want to do with our entry. Right now we just need more people to hit the going button here and then we will work out meet-ups. The T-shirts will be ready soon, some are available already. The flyers look terrific this year and we will be getting a bunch to hand out to people.

Even if you can't make it that day, please say maybe if you are willing to help with sign making, planning or anything. We will be having some meet ups before hand to plan our entry. Last year we had a bunch of people sign up and a small but awesome turn out. Port Orchard was very receptive.

We are just getting started, we have our banner and we will be getting lots of flyers to pass out. Last year we had a mom with a child in the stroller follow us to get information. I checked out the parade route afterward and didn't find a single one of our flyers on the ground. People want to know what is going on with the food. What is all this talk about GMOs?
