About Zen Honeycutt

Zen Honeycutt is the founding executive director of Moms Across America, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit coalition of mothers working to create healthy communities. She is the author of UNSTOPPABLE: Transforming Sickness and Struggle into Triumph, Empowerment, and a Celebration of Community.

Zen has spoken at Monsanto shareholder meetings, led Congressional briefings on school lunch safety with Senator Booker's office, visited hundreds of elected officials, and collaborated with international leaders including the former Minister of Agriculture of Japan. She has directed the documentary Communities Rising and has been featured on CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox News, C-SPAN, The Dr. Oz Show, and HuffPost.

Her organization initiated the first consumer-funded glyphosate testing in America and has exposed pesticide contamination in children's cereals, school lunches, fast food, baby food, military meals, and breast milk. Their data has influenced policy in over 60 countries.

Zen lives in North Carolina on a farm with her son and 34 farm animals.

What We're Known For

Key topics and expertise areas for media coverage and interviews.

Glyphosate & Pesticide Contamination in Food

Our independent testing has found glyphosate in 90% of children’s cereals, 100% of school lunches tested, and in breast milk, baby food, and military meals.

School Lunch Safety

We led the first consumer-funded testing of school meals, presented findings at a Congressional briefing, and are pushing for the Safe School Meals Act.

Baby Food & Formula Contamination

Testing reveals heavy metals and pesticides in the foods fed to America’s most vulnerable. We’re fighting for formula to be included in the Baby Food Safety Act.

Pesticide Industry Legal Immunity

Section 453 of the House Appropriations bill would grant pesticide companies legal immunity and override state food safety laws. We’re leading the opposition.

The Organic Solution

Peer-reviewed research shows that switching to organic rapidly reduces pesticide levels in the body. Families report dramatic health improvements.

International Advocacy

Our data has been cited by governments and health organizations in 60+ countries, expanding the mission globally.

Let's Tell This Story Together

Our data is public. Our founder is available. And the story of what's in America's food needs to be told.
