Independent Science, Real Results
Moms Across America initiated the first consumer-funded glyphosate testing in American breast milk, urine, and drinking water — proving that independent science can change the conversation.
Why Glyphosate Matters
In 2014, MAA initiated the first consumer-funded testing of glyphosate in American breast milk and urine. US levels were over 10x higher than the EU. One child's urine showed 8x the European average. The CDC later confirmed 81% of 2,310 Americans tested had detectable glyphosate in their urine.
Glyphosate is the active ingredient in Roundup, the most widely used herbicide in the world. 80% of GMO crops are engineered specifically to withstand glyphosate — meaning it's sprayed directly on the food we eat.
It's also used as a drying agent (desiccant) on non-GMO crops like wheat, oats, and chickpeas right before harvest, leaving residues on foods most people consider safe.
Moms Across America and partner organizations have connected glyphosate exposure to dozens of health issues including gut dysbiosis, endocrine disruption, and increased cancer risk. Independent scientists have published hundreds of peer-reviewed studies supporting these findings.
CDC Glyphosate Testing Results →Our Commitment to Transparency
Every test result, every study we reference, and every claim we make is available for public review. We believe that access to information is the foundation of empowerment. Our testing is conducted by independent, accredited laboratories including the Health Research Institute and Microbe Inotech Labs.
We acknowledge that the responsibility for the interpretation and use of this information lies with the reader. We are not providing medical advice — we share what the science shows and what has worked for families in our community.
