Glyphosate Detected in Childhood Vaccines

Research Study·

This detection study by Microbe Inotech Laboratories found glyphosate contamination in several childhood vaccines. The testing was initiated by Moms Across America after concerns were raised about potential contamination pathways through the use of animal-derived ingredients (such as gelatin from pigs fed glyphosate-contaminated feed) in vaccine production.

Measurable levels of glyphosate were detected in the MMR vaccine (measles, mumps, rubella), certain flu vaccines, and other commonly administered childhood vaccines. The highest levels were found in vaccines containing porcine gelatin as a stabilizer, supporting the hypothesis that glyphosate enters vaccines through animal-derived ingredients.

While the glyphosate levels detected were in the low parts-per-billion range, the study raised concerns because vaccines are injected directly into the body, bypassing the digestive system's partial filtering mechanisms, and are administered to infants and young children with immature immune and detoxification systems.

Key Findings

  • Glyphosate was detected in several commonly administered childhood vaccines.
  • The highest levels were found in vaccines containing porcine gelatin as a stabilizer.
  • The MMR vaccine showed detectable glyphosate contamination.
  • Contamination likely enters through animal-derived ingredients from conventionally raised livestock.
  • Direct injection bypasses digestive filtering, potentially increasing the biological impact of even low-level contamination.

Methodology

Vaccine samples were obtained and tested using ELISA methodology for glyphosate detection. Multiple lots of several common childhood vaccines were tested. Results were confirmed with follow-up testing. The analysis included vaccines with and without animal-derived ingredients to identify the contamination pathway.

Why This Matters for Families

The presence of glyphosate in vaccines is concerning because these products are injected into the most vulnerable members of our population — infants and young children. Parents should advocate for vaccine manufacturers to source gelatin and other animal-derived ingredients from organically raised animals to eliminate this contamination pathway.
