Our Campaigns

From parades to school boards, MAA chapters use proven strategies to create change where it matters most — at the local level.

School Lunch Campaigns

School cafeterias serve millions of meals every day. Our chapters work with school boards, food service directors, and PTAs to get organic, non-GMO, and pesticide-free food into school lunch programs.

Farmers Market Outreach

Set up a table at your local farmers market to share information about food safety, glyphosate testing results, and how to eat organic on a budget. Farmers market shoppers are already interested — you just need to reach them.

Local Government Advocacy

Attend city council meetings, testify at public hearings, and build relationships with elected officials. Many of MAA's biggest wins started with one mom showing up at a meeting with data and determination.

Launch Your Own Campaign

You don't need permission. You don't need a budget. You just need to care enough to show up. Here's how to get started.

1

Pick an Issue

Choose something you're passionate about and that affects your community directly — school lunch quality, pesticide spraying in parks, 5G installations, or water quality.

2

Gather Supporters

Start with friends, neighbors, and fellow parents. You don't need hundreds — even 5–10 committed people can make a huge impact at the local level.

3

Create Materials

Use our free downloadable flyers, fact sheets, and presentation templates. Customize them for your community and your specific issue.

4

Attend Meetings

Show up at school board meetings, city council sessions, and planning commission hearings. Public comment is your right — use it. Bring data, bring neighbors, bring your story.

5

Follow Up

Don't let your concerns be forgotten. Send follow-up emails, request written responses, and attend the next meeting. Persistence is what separates campaigns that win from those that fade.

Success Stories

When moms organize, things change. Here are just a few of the victories our community has achieved.

Irvine, CA: School District Goes Organic

After a group of MAA moms presented glyphosate testing data to the Irvine Unified School District board, the district committed to transitioning its school lunch program to organic produce. Over 30,000 students now have access to cleaner food every day.

Maui County, HI: Pesticide Buffer Zones

Moms Across America supporters in Maui organized testimony at county council meetings for over a year, presenting health data from families living near spray zones. The county passed one of the nation's strongest pesticide buffer zone ordinances.
