Interested in healthier food for your family? Please join us for the Moms Across America March as part of Independence Day parades throughout the country. Sponsored by Label GMOs, this is a great way to exercise our freedoms as we pursue our right to know what's in our food.

 
Although we will not actually march in the parade, we will be there with our signs and offer educational literature to spectators before and after the parade. If you want to participate, please join us at the time and location stated below.  If you want to learn more, visit:

Please note: We meet at 2 pm on the sidewalk in front of Firestone 16646A Bernardo Center Drive, San Diego, CA, 92128. If you want to leave prior to 5:30 pm, you need to arrive early enough to find a place to park outside of the marked parade route.

    I am posting 4 the 2nd time ! I’m not sure 1st went through. Sandy & I are both the contact leaders now .     Important note to anyone interested in joining part of a group on the sidelines of Rancho Bernardo parade to celebrate our freedom to know what is in our food. We could use someone (how about you?) to agree to have your contact info added to this page and be the contact person for people who have questions, and of course show up at the parade. I will help you with questions, and I do not envision other responsibilities. I have setup sign making party Saturday June 29 10 am , Jimbos Carlsbad , and will bring supplies. I will have someone setup a FB page. I will provide flyers. Coordination will occur through this web page and the to be created FB event page.

    I will ask interested participants, both here and those not RSVPed, who will lead. I am willing to help the leader but I am already helping with three other events simultaneously as well as handling behind-the-scenes Label GMOs San Diego administration/management/planning so I will not add another role.

Also just a reminder that we are getting ready to send out the Moms Across America t-shirts but we have no leader/address for your parade and we need to have that by today so do you have a leader in mind or an address that we can use so everyone can get their shirts on time?     Hi Lauren, how can we get help to change the time on this webpage from 6-9 to 2-5?
    Although there is additional planning to be completed, the current time listed is definitely wrong.

    Important Notice:
    The following is the plan.Meet at 2pm. Exact location still to be determined. Note: I have no way to contact Lauren Weinstein, Lianne Lish, Bridget Darby, or Kelsey Sample. My email address is [email protected]. We plan to create a FB page.
    Parade group lineup is at 3pm. Parade starts at 3:30pm. We will be handing out flyers on the sidelines. If there are a lot of us, too many to stand in the same area, then we can split up, and some people can walk down along the parade route to pass out flyers, or even walk to the end of the parade route and pass out flyers to the parade participants when they are done. I do not yet have edit access to this webpage. Note that the correct start time for the parade is 3pm lineup and 3:30pm start walking, so we should arrive at 2pm because we want to connect with people on the sidelines when they are reserving their spot, while they are still attentive, before they are watching their families and friends in the parade.

Now we need to decide what to do: (a) to peacefully and positively be on the sidelines and bring signs and pass out flyers; (b) to join individually the “Wheels” brigade of non-MAAM individuals on wheels (baby buggies, skates, bikes, etc.) with a sign attached; © join the Temecula parade; (d) your new/creative idea. We were wondering if there was any way someone could step up and become the leader so it is possible to march during the Fourth of July parade.
