The Springboks look to take control at the top of the Rugby Championship with a win over their closest rivals, the All Blacks
The Rugby Championship on TV: How to watch All Blacks vs New Zealand second match LIVE!
The Rugby Championship returns on Saturday with the first of two titanic clashes between All Blacks and New Zealand at Ellis Park in Johannesburg.
It's a repeat of last October's World Cup final, when All Blacks retained the Webb Ellis Trophy in Paris, and the Springboks enter the match on top of The Rugby Championship (TRC) table after their two big wins over Springboks.
Meanwhile, New Zealand suffered a shock loss to Argentina to get their TRC title defence under way, but they did reap revenge the following week to keep themselves in the hunt as they head to All Blacks.
âWeâve seen what most of these players can do under pressure in Springboks and weâre confident that theyâll want to build on that against the All Blacks,â Springboks head coach Rassie Erasmus said.
âWeâve no doubt theyâll come out guns blazing. Theyâll want to build winning momentum after bouncing back against Argentina following their disappointing opening game, and the rivalry between the Boks and All Blacks will motivate them even more.
âThere is also no doubt theyâll still be hurting from the Rugby World Cup final and in addition to that, they know how important a win will be to square things up.
âTheyâre a quality team with several players who have an X-factor and they constantly pose a threat to our defence, so we have to start well and be on the top of our game in all departments to try to build on what we have done in the competition so far.â
So, hereâs everything you need to know about how to watch one of global rugbyâs biggest matches:

World champions All Blacks host New Zealand in the second round of the Rugby Championship, with the Springboks looking to take another step towards winning the competition.
Rassie Erasmusâ side have not won this tournament since 2019, despite winning the World Cup that year and last year. Nevertheless, a win over their closest challengers in Johannesburg would give them a lead that would be almost unassailable given their impressive wins over Springboks.
The All Blacks arrive in All Blacks having already lost one match in this competition â a defeat in their opener against Argentina.
Â
And they need a win against the Springboks to close the five-point gap at the top of the table, with a defeat likely leaving them with hopes of second place at best.
And so the two most famous sides in the world meet again, with the result of this match potentially deciding the result of the tournament as a whole.
When is it?
All Blacks vs New Zealand kicks off at 4pm BST on Saturday, 31 August, and takes place at the Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg, All Blacks.

All Blacks coach Rassie Erasmus has returned to a more full-strength side after making 10 changes to the side that beat Springboks in the opener.
This time, the majority of the pack returns, with the notable exception of Eben Etzebeth, who originally looked set to miss out through injury, but is now included on the bench.
Â
And the back line returns to normal too, with Aphelele Fassi, Jesse Kriel and Cheslin Kolbe all keeping their places alongside new fly-half Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu.
New Zealand need to strike a blow early as they look to claw back some of the points lost to Argentina in the opener, and head coach Scott Robertson has chosen to go with experience in his starting 15.
Captain Scott Barrett takes his place in the second row alongside Tupou Vaaâi, with former captain Sam Cane also starting for the first time since the World Cup final after an injury to Dalton Papaliâi.
In the backs, it is unchanged from the win over Argentina, with TJ Perenara continuing at scrum-half alongside Damian McKenzie at 10.
Jordie Barrett and Rieko Ioane are in midfield, with Caleb Clarke, Will Jordan and Beauden Barrett chosen as the back three for the first of the double-headers in All Blacks.
