When I am not being a mom, having some fit fun, volunteer teaching nutrition at my son's elementary school or working with clients, I am organizing nutrition education events for families in our school and community. Today, chronic health conditions such as high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, and heart disease have become so common that most people don't remember what it's like to be in excellent health. In truth, many chronic health conditions are preventable. It is never to late to take on a healthier lifestyle—by getting the right nutrients, becoming active and learning to manage the stressors in life—many of these conditions can be prevented, managed and even reversed.
We have three areas of focus: nutrition, fitness and health. This will be a large event to include 6 north west Austin elementary schools on the WestWood high school campus and we expect in excess of 1000. We have over 50 (more to come) great vendors this year, whatever it takes to be an inspiration, we are so grateful for their time an expertise.
This is not a fundraiser, it is an event spawned from my passion to educate and inspire people (especially children) to live healthy and be happy. We would be honored to have your help getting the word out....making healthy living the norm while promoting our mission to transform the lives of young people and increase the access to healthy resources in Austin and beyond.
How much do you love inspiring kids to be healthy and happy? I look forward to hearing from you.
