Oklahoma bill HB1755 has been put on the ag committee calendar for next Tuesday at 2:30 est proposing that pesticide companies get immunity from lawsuits.
They would be able to poison our communities with impunity.
Expect that your state Senators have been lied to by Bayer about what the bill does, and have no idea that it provides total immunity for chemical companies.
Please call today and tell them that the bill removes individual, local, and state rights for people harmed or killed by pesticides to be able to sue! This is unacceptable, especially since a German and Chinese company is pushing this bill, and many of the pesticides are BANNED for use in their countries! Foreign entities and chemical companies, foreign or domestic, should not be able to use our civil servants to be able to pass laws that protect them and allow them to create unsafe products without liability! Just make safe products!!!
