WA MAAM in the "Freedom to Keep Lopez Weird" Parade

The Lopez Island 4th of July Parade Theme this year is “Freedom to Keep Lopez Weird”.

This year’s Grand Marshall is:  Marty Clark

The Lopez Island 4th of July Parade is a long- standing tradition. Any organization or individual may participate. Entries can be elaborate (for Lopez) floats or simple costumes and posters. Visitors come from all over to view this unique small town event. The parade is sponsored by the Lopez Lion's Club. Parade signup is the day of the parade, from 9am to 10:30am between the Galley and the Islander. The parade starts at 11:00 and follows Fisherman Bay Road to Lopez Road, into the village past the business center, and ends at the Post Office. The judging will be at the old Lopez Village Market parking lot. Prizes will be awarded at the Lopez Community Center following the parade.
