Three Generations of International Advocates to Speak at Monsanto Shareholder Meeting

Leaders from Canada, Wisconsin & Hawaii to Highlight Dangers of GMOs & Pesticides

Creve Coeur, MO - Three generations of women will speak out for the health of current and future generations at the annual Monsanto shareholder meeting.

WHO:

  • Rachel Parent, teenager and founder of Kids Right To Know from Canada representing a Moms Across America contact.

  • Anne Temple, mother and leader from Moms Across America, representing John Harrington of Harrington Investments.

  • Beth Savitt, grandmother and President of the Shaka Movement of Hawaii, representing As You Sow.

WHAT: the attendance of three generations of women holding Monsanto accountable as a symbol of the worldwide movement opposed to GMOs and pesticides

WHEN: Friday, January 29, 2016 at 1:30pm CST

WHERE: Monsanto Headquarters, Creve Coeur, MO

In the past year, the World Health Organization has deemed glyphosate, Monsanto’s main profit producing herbicide, a probable carcinogen. Monsanto’s Roundup sales dropped 34% in 2015 and they are cutting 16% of their workforce. The women, who will be presenting resolutions on behalf of John Harrington of Harrington Investments and the non-profit As You Sow,  intend to remind Monsanto that by choosing a new direction, away from genetic engineering and toxic chemicals, they can save jobs, protect their profits, the health of citizens and the planet.

You can listen to the Monsanto shareholder meeting live on the Monsanto website. The meeting is at 1:30pm January 29, 2016. Follow up report and links to the recording will be found at www.momsacrossamerica.org and www.harringtoninvestments.com

I went to both websites and had trouble finding where the shareholder meeting live event is taking place. Would you please add a link to the shareholding meeting itself?

Amazing that Monsanto would entertain 3 of their most noteworthy adversaries . . . and at their shareholder AGM!
This could be a momentous moment – for both!
Monsanto could be convinced to begin mending their dangerous ways of practice – that would be good for them, and Monsanto could be convinced to begin mending
their dangerous ways of practice – that would be good for everyone! :o)
