San Diego Door Knocking and Raise Awareness About TPP

Opportunity to raise awareness about TPP.

Join Kali and the Southern California Fair Trade Campaign, with support from Label GMOs San Diego, to raise awareness about the TPP (Trans Pacific Partnership). 

We are going to door knock to raise awareness and to find supporters and to get "Stop TPP Fast Track" signs placed in Representative Susan Davis’ neighbors’ yards and throughout her neighborhood.

We want to raise awareness of the dangers of TPP for our health.  This trade agreement is being negotiated in secret, and the 3 out of 29 chapters that have leaked show disturbing text, such as the following: "strengthening rules to eliminate practices that unfairly decrease market opportunities...including...labeling." We are concerned that TPP passage will mean that any labeling laws will be subject to litigation by a corporate tribunal, making labeling (of GMOs and other health risks) more difficult. We believe that transparency is in the best interest of our community so people can know and choose what is in their food.
