Moms, Babies, Glyphosate, and You.

pregnant.jpegTwo years ago, in January of 2015, representing mothers, I had the opportunity to stand before the Monsanto shareholder meeting and say, "Mr. Grant, you and the EPA say you have hundreds of studies showing the safety of glyphosate. So I requested them by FOIA. Here is an example of just one on white shrimp. The study you commissioned found that white shrimp died at levels above 5.2 ppm of glyphosate in just 4 days. Another study shows that glyphosate remains viable in dark salty water for 315 days.

What's in our womb? Dark salty water.

What's the size of a six-week old fetus? The size of a shrimp.

How much glyphosate is allowed on sugar? 25 ppm.

Pregnant mothers crave sugar!

You MUST be responsible for the contamination of pregnant mothers and the poisoning of our fetuses!

As a sea of shareholders looked at me uncomfortably, I compared the Danish Ib Pedersen pig study of 30,000 pigs to the current 30% infertility rate of young couples in America.  When the pigs were repeatedly exposed to low levels of glyphosate, there was a 30% increase of birth defects, smaller litters and miscarriages; exactly correlate to our human reproductive issues, which were highest in recorded history in 2014. The anguish and urgency of the situation compelled me to speak out to the shareholders, but I alone could not conduct scientific studies, I alone could not enforce laws.

Protective Effects of Restore

Zach Bush is co-founder and CEO of Biomic Sciences, LLC, the manufacturer of Restore. He is also Director of Clinical Affairs at the Revolution Health Center in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Recently, Zach and his colleagues published a paper in the Journal of Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics, entitled "Protective Effects of Lignite Extract Supplement on Intestinal Barrier Function in Glyphosate-Mediated Tight Junction Injury."

This paper is a technically challenging read for the layperson, but it contains several powerful before and after images (Figure 3), which should convince anyone that lignite produces a significant change to cells of the stomach lining after they've been "insulted" by glyphosate.

Many who have purchased Restore from us, which has lignite as its active ingredient, say that this change is a very positive one!

Here are links to the paper and the product.

Shockingly Higher Rates of Autism and Developmental Delays in Asia

Report from Japan speaking tour, March 1-10

By Zen Honeycutt, Moms Across America

March 21,2017

Mothers in Japan.jpg

I expected to go to Japan to speak about Moms Across America’s work and warn mothers of the health risks of GMOs and toxins so they could avoid them. Considering the Asian diet, I was sure their health was far better than ours. I was shocked to discover that Japanese, Korean and Filipino children health issues had far surpassed American children. Over 500-800 moms gathered for my presentations in each of the 5 locations, where I learned why the crowds were so large.

Japanese children have developmental delays 2x higher than the US. Korean children have autism and developmental delays 2-3x higher. According to the Autism Speaks of Philippines, at least 1 million, or 1 out of 33 children in the Philippines had been diagnosed with autism in 2014 (more without healthcare are likely to have symptoms), which is far worse than our current 1 out of 68 children. I was crushed. I was Angry. I was Outraged.

Monsanto in Hot Water

Roundup_fence.jpeg

New developments do not bode well for Monsanto.

1. A huge win for consumer activists; Monsanto's Roundup and hundreds of other brands containing glyphosate will soon be labeled a "carcinogen" according to a newly passed California State ruling.

2. An EPA staffer, Jess Rowland, has been accused of colluding with Monsanto to downgrade carcinogenic effects of glyphosate. New York Times article here.

3. Monsanto has been accused of ghostwriting the Roundup cancer studies which show "safety."

4. New studies show that Roundup causes liver disease and glyphosate-based herbicides are decisively linked to cancer in Argentina. Another shows endocrine disruptors such as those found in Roundup and glyphosate-based herbicides are the major contributing factor to the drastic decline of the quality of men's sperm.

5. In a groundbreaking turn of events, Moms Across America has been informed that the EPA has confirmed that The National Toxicology Program will, in fact, assess the final formulation of Glyphosate-based herbicides and the EPA will take their assessment into consideration for their review and decision on whether to renew or revoke the license of glyphosate.

Apparently, Bayer is reconsidering their $66 billion dollar offer to merge....

Could this be the beginning of the end of Monsanto?

Moms Speak Up! Town Hall Meetings

disagree_utah_mom.jpg

Have you heard about the passionate crowds filling town hall meetings across the country this week? Maybe you were one of them. If so, send us your story!

More than 1,000 people showed up to Chaffetz’s town hall in Cottonwood Heights, a Salt Lake City suburb and created such a stir the national media picked up the story.

In Michigan, a People’s Campaign member visited Rep. Dave Trott’s office only to be turned away and told by local police that they were trespassing after requesting a meeting. “It’s illegal to go visit your congressperson now?” they wrote in a Facebook live post that has gone viral. Refusing to back down, they held their own town hall. When Rep. Trott refused to show, they put a live chicken at the front of the room to symbolize his unwillingness to participate in the democratic process.

Small Monsanto Shareholder Meeting Packed with Lies

Moms_at_Monsanto.jpg

January 27, 2017  St.Louis, MO.

"Infuriating" is not sufficient to describe today's Monsanto shareholder meeting.

In a small room, at the Research and Development facility on Chesterfield Parkway, MO, perhaps 60 people sat in a room with many empty seats, with no audio-cast available for other shareholders. The board and the accounting firm were present. CEO Hugh Grant and David Snively, Executive Vice President and General Council sat at the head of the room.

Anne Temple, Moms Across America Midwest leader, and I sat on the right side with our "hosts" Cami and Billy, near the microphone.

Open Letter to Medical Doctors and Liver Disease Organizations

Dear Medical Doctors and Liver Disease organizations,

As mothers, we are extremely concerned about the rise in childhood illness, including Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) in children and teens and our family members.

According to the Liver Foundation, at least 30 million people—or one in 10 Americans—have some form of liver disease.
  • Approximately 15,000 children are hospitalized every year in the U.S. with pediatric liver disease or disorders.
  • An alarming statistic is that six million children—up to 10 percent of all children in the nation—have NAFLD, the non-alcoholic fatty liver disease we referred to earlier. NAFLD is the leading cause of chronic liver disease in children and adults in the United States.
We are attaching a new study that is extremely important for organizations such as yourselves to know about and to make available to your network. This study proves that Roundup causes NAFLD at residue levels lower than what is allowed by our regulatory agencies.

spraying_roundup.jpg

You probably already know that 80% of genetically modified foods, which are in 85% of our processed foods in America, are engineered to withstand Roundup weedkiller. Many do not know, however, that Roundup is also sprayed as a drying agent on nonGMO, non-organic food, and feed crops, for example; wheat, garbanzo beans, lentils, dried beans, tea, sugar and many grains. The EPA allows this chemical product to be sprayed on 158 of our food and feed crops because they have been told it is safe by the manufacturer, they do not conduct their own tests. Food testing has shown levels from 29 ppb in beer, 1500 ppb on Cheerios, 3500 ppb on garbanzo beans,  to 1.67 ppm on oatmeal baby food. It only takes 0.1 ppb to destroy gut bacteria and levels lower than what is allowed on our food cause liver damage. Glyphosate does not wash or peel off.
