South Norfolk Parade & Picnic in the Park

We will be marching in the 34th Annual South Norfolk Parade representing Moms Across America. Come out in your red, white, & blue and walk with our banner, hand out fliers with info on GMOs, pins, and stickers and educate THOUSANDS of families in just an hour about this very important cause! There is a fun party in the park following the parade with music, kid's activities and games, a petting zoo, and paddle boat rides!

We will be in section "E" for the parade lineup at 8am (at South Norfolk Baptist Church) if you are planning on coming!

Hi everyone- unfortunately the parade has been cancelled due to the incoming storm. I'll be on the lookout for future events that we can hand out all of the awesome pins, stickers, fliers, etc. at! Have a happy 4th!

Our parade pack came in the mail!! We have a banner, 2,000 fliers, about 200 pins, a huge roll of 'save the bees' stickers, and some bumper stickers!

Hi Jules and Shannon! Thank you for volunteering to walk in the parade! I just got confirmation last night that the application to be in the parade was approved and we are in section E for the parade lineup at 8 at South Norfolk Baptist Church. Are you ladies from around that area? I live in Richmond so it's been a little difficult for me to connect with moms in the VB/Chesapeake/Norfolk general region who are passionate about this stuff and want to come out to the parade. If you have any ideas about how we may recruit a few more moms/families I'm all ears! I posted some fliers around Chesapeake on Sunday and have been posting about the parade on Facebook pages. The basic plan for the parade is we will need at least two people to walk with the banner and then everyone else can pass out fliers, stickers, pins, etc. that I ordered from Moms Across America. I will be bringing my 22-month-old son in his little blue push car and probably decorate it with some red, white, and blue stuff. So bring the kids, husbands, friends, whoever! And if you'd like to 'share' this event page that would be awesome! The more people the better!
