Moms for Food Freedom Float in Arlington 4th of July Parade

Sponsored by the Texas Honeybee Guild.  Dress up as honeybees or wear red/white/blue with patriotic hats including Moms Across America t-shirts if you have one.  Bring your own decorated shopping cart to push or signs with GMO Food Freedom messages.  Limited seating is available in pickup truck bed and on float trailer for first responders and those unable to walk the full parade route.
Participants must arrive no later than 7:30am at the Arlington Parade Assembly Area in order to guarantee availability of free parking.  Shuttle buses will also be running from the UTA Maverick Stadium to the assembly area, starting at 6:30 am.
Location is generally South Cooper St. at West Mitchell St. in Arlington, Texas.  See attached link for map and more specific information for participants:

WHERE TO FIND THE BEES!  Buzz over to ROW 5, SPACE #140 in the parade assembly area.

Remember:  You must get there early to find a nearby parking space and avoid traffic detours.  Plan to arrive no later than 7:30 a.m.

This is a large annual event that is well-attended by families and a great venue to get out the message of eating organic and locally grown food without GMOs.  Be sure to familiarize yourself with this highly patriotic event at the www.Arlington4th.org main page.

    Hey everybody!
Pre-parade tip shared at the parade organizational meeting:

Start drinking “extra” water NOW! It takes a couple of days to fully hydrate, so you need to work up to it to be prepared for the parade. Wear a hat and sunscreen and bring extra water with you!

The Red Cross will also be passing out cold water at the end of the parade when you get back to the assembly area, but you will need some to sustain you throughout the parade! They will also have a first aid tent available, but we don’t want you to need that!!!
